Backcountry is coming back. We have phased out the original Backcountry series over the summer and have been working hard to bring you its replacement. The new Backcountry series has taken many of our designs that have been with us since the beginning and redesigned them for modern mountain bikes.
A streamlined and secure space to store frequently-used items, whatever the terrain.
The Backcountry Top Tube Pack is a convenient space to store frequently used items, whether navigating a challenging trail or on a daily commute.
The mountain bike top tube bag is ideal for stashing snacks, light valuables and electronic devices. It securely attaches to the top tube with Hypalon-reinforced velcro straps that minimise abrasion on the frame. A one-finger zipper puller allows easy access on the move, while the full-length fully waterproof zipper safeguards contents against water and dirt when closed.
The top tube bag is also padded with closed cell foam to safeguard items against impact and features an internal pocket for organisation and a battery lead port for charging electronic devices on the go.
Materials:
The Backcountry Top Tube Pack is made from Dimension-Polyant VX21, a four-layer laminated fabric originally developed for the maritime industry and our proprietary 420D nylon; a rugged fabric made to our own exacting specifications for durability and waterproofing. Designed to fit the demands of off-road riding, these materials offer full waterproofing, light weight, low stretch, and high abrasion and tear resistance. Notably, it's welded together at the seams, creating a watertight seal that ensures the saddle bag remains completely waterproof.
Care:
Hand wash, using a mild diluted soap if necessary. Afterwards, let it air dry. Do not machine wash, machine dry, or iron.

SIZE INFORMATION
Apidura has just launched a new interactive sizing tool for their bike packing frame bags, making it easier to get that perfectly fitting bag. Choosing which bag setup you plan on using comes down to how much gear you're needing to take and how long the journey will be. Some frame packs are limited by smaller bike frame sizes or different bike geometries so it's important to get this right.
Apidura’s new visualizer tool gives you a visual view of how your bike will look setup, by allowing you to add bags to it to visually see and ensure that they fit inside your frame. If you’re wanting a quicker answer without using the new visualizer, you can now also select your bike brand and model from a pre-populated drop down menu to get a list of bags which will fit.
Both new tools take the guesswork out of finding which bag size you’ll need and is certainly better than using paper templates or multiple rulers.

We offer free shipping on orders over $99 NZD*. Orders under this threshold incur a flat rate of $7.20**
*Excludes large or bulky items, which are charged between $25.00 and $100.00, depending on size, weight, and delivery location. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
**Rural delivery surcharge: An additional $6.00 is applied to rural addresses.

Delivery Time Frames
In-Stock Items:
Orders for items in stock at our store are dispatched within 1–2 business days (weekdays) of payment. Orders placed after 3 pm will be processed the following business day. Please allow an additional 2 days for rural delivery.
From Supplier
Items shipped directly from our suppliers are usually dispatched within 2–4 business days. Some may take up to 8 business days, depending on the supplier. Estimated delivery times are shown on each product page. Rural deliveries may take an extra 2 days.
Tracking Information
You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order has been dispatched. If you haven’t received tracking details within your expected delivery window, please contact us to confirm.
Shipping Bikes
- Giant, LIV, and Norco bikes are not eligible for shipping due to brand warranty and dealer policies. These must be collected in-store, fully assembled.
- Electric bikes cannot be shipped due to Dangerous Goods restrictions (lithium batteries). These are available for Click & Collect only.
- Other bikes can be shipped with the following rates:
- Kids bikes: $25.00
- Standard bikes: $75.00
Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout. If your bike falls outside this standard pricing (e.g., large-size mountain bikes or freight to remote areas), we may adjust the shipping cost. If you're unsure, feel free to contact us before ordering.
Processing of bikes can take up to 7 days if they are needing to be shipped from our suppliers.
