Benno 46er Easy On Speed

As their newest utility cargo bike, the Benno 46er is an extremely versatile addition to the cargo bike line-up. With more load capacity than the compact Benno RemiDemi and a shorter wheelbase than the incredibly popular Benno Boost, the 46er sits somewhere in the middle. A fantastic option offering agility and stability with a great load capacity, and all in a step through frame!

Designer Benno Baenziger explains that the 46er is rather unique in that it is a similar length to regular bikes but that is about the only similarity. Benno has taken innovation to another level with the 46er. “they ditched convention and added capability”. Starting with the wheels, which on the 46er are different sizes. The front gets a 26” for comfort and control, and at the rear 24” wheel lowers the centre of gravity which offer more strength and stability, especially when loaded.

The 46er is available in one size that suit riders from 5’1” to 6’3” because of the adjustable seatpost and step-through frame geometry.

To add to this package, the 46er has front suspension making it an even smoother ride on uneven terrain.

CARRYING CAPACITY AND ACCESSORIES

Despite the compact look, the 46er can carry a bunch of cargo – up to 190kg, to be precise (including the rider). This can be distributed across the bike, with the front rack taking up to 10kg and the rear rack up to 60kg.

The rear of the bike can be fitted with a variety of products ranging from a child seat for the younger kids to sideloaders (footrests) for the older children. This means the bike is here to stay, no reason to update as the kids get older, just swap out the accessories.
