DESCRIPTION
The Jaunt EZ 1 is Sinch's fully equipped step-through electric bike, aimed at riders who want to replace car trips without any fuss. The Shimano STEPS EP600 motor delivers 85Nm through Shimano's own LinkGlide drivetrain, which uses thicker, more durable gear teeth designed specifically to cope with the torque an e-bike puts through a chain. The 504Wh Shimano battery sits externally on the down tube and lifts off for charging indoors. An 80mm SR Suntour air fork with lockout, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and 2.35in tyres smooth out broken seal and gravel, while alloy mudguards, a MIK HD rear carrier rated to 27kg, an adjustable mirror, a kickstand and integrated lights with a brake-sensing rear come fitted as standard.

Who Is the Sinch Jaunt EZ 1 For?
This is for the rider who wants an electric bike that is genuinely easy to use. The step-through frame means no swinging a leg over a loaded bike, the adjustable stem and comfort bar let you sit upright, and everything you would otherwise have to buy separately, lights, mudguards, a rack, a kickstand and a mirror, is already fitted and wired in.
It makes a strong case as a car replacement for shorter New Zealand trips. The 27kg MIK carrier takes panniers and baskets without tools, the brake-sensing rear light adds visibility in traffic, and the LinkGlide drivetrain is the most durable thing Shimano makes at this level, which matters when a motor is driving the chain every time you pedal.
