Apidura Racing Aero System

Gravel racing has evolved. What started as an endurance challenge has become defined by tactics, efficiency, and marginal gains - where every Watt saved can be the difference between a podium and the chasing bunch.

Headwinds, solo breakaways, full-gas chases - the Aero System delivers free speed when you need it most. With a an average 5-Watt saving at race speed (36+ km/h), it’s wind tunnel tested and race-proven at the highest level, showing a benefit on every bike we’ve tested. Simon Pellaud of Tudor Pro Cycling rode the Aero System to 2nd place at the 2025 edition off Unbound, with Ian Boswell riding to a top-10 finish.

The Aero System wasn’t built to carry more - it’s designed to make your bike faster than riding without it, regardless of what you choose to pack.

• Modules work together to improve aerodynamics

• Transfer Panels and Skirt for close integration

• Tension bands

• Hypalon Load Straps

• One-handed fast entry magnetic closure (Top Tube Module)

• Ultralight Hexagrid construction (System weight 305g S/M)

SIZING

The Apidura Aero Sytem comes in two different sizes, reflecting a difference in the size and shape of the Frame Module to fit a broader range of bikes. As close fit is essential in order to see optimal aero benefit, it is recommended to use our Interactive Sizing Tool to ensure fit.

S/M - Recommended for sizes up to 56cm
L/XL - Recommend for sizes up to 61cm

AERO OPTIMISED

Developed through extensive CFD analysis and wind tunnel testing, the shape of the Aero System smooths airflow around the bike, reducing drag and making the rider faster for the same effort. The Aero System has shown a benefit on every bike we’ve tested.

The Aero System was designed foremost as an aerodynamic system. Whether run full or empty, it makes your bike faster.

INTEGRATED DESIGN

When the system is mounted, elements such as Transfer Panels, Skirt and Tension Bands work together to eliminate gaps between the frame and stem, passing air smoothly from the front of the bike across the modules.

APIDURA
We’re an independent, family-run business of cyclists, makers and problem solvers, brought together by a shared mission to find better ways to explore the world by bike.

Apidura was born from necessity; pioneering ultralight, rackless packing systems to help us take our love of cycling further and allow riders to unlock their instinct for adventure. As devoted adventure cyclists, we design with our fellow riders in mind, creating products that address genuine needs and bring new value to the bikepacking scene. We create the best packs we can, using technical materials and precision crafting techniques – and when we find a way to improve them we do so straight away and without fanfare. We don’t do ‘seasons’, limited editions or discount our gear – we simply create the best possible technical bikepacking gear that’s built to last.
