DESCRIPTION
The Trek Marlin 6 is a hardtail mountain bike built for riders getting into trail riding or stepping up from an entry-level bike. The 2026 model pairs a lightweight Alpha Silver aluminium frame with a RockShox Judy fork delivering 100mm of travel, so you can take the sting out of rooty, rocky ground while keeping the bike efficient on the climbs. A Shimano CUES 10-speed drivetrain with an 11-48T cassette gives you a wide gear range for steep New Zealand climbs, and Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping in all conditions. Internal cable routing plus rack and kickstand mounts make it a practical choice for trails, fitness riding, and the daily commute.
Key Features
- Alpha Silver aluminium frame with internal cable routing and rack/kickstand mounts
- RockShox Judy fork with 100mm travel, coil spring and TurnKey lockout
- Shimano CUES U6000 10-speed drivetrain with 11-48T LINKGLIDE cassette for durability and range
- Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes (160mm rotors XS/S, 180mm M-XL)

- Bontrager Kovee tubeless-ready double-wall rims
- Maxxis tyres: IKON 27.5x2.35" (XS/S) or Rekon Race 29x2.35" (M-XL)

Who Is the Trek Marlin 6 For?
The Marlin 6 suits riders moving from a department-store bike or a basic hardtail to something built for real trails. If you are riding blue-grade singletrack, gravel paths and fire roads, or you want one capable bike for weekend rides and getting to work, it has the gearing, braking and suspension to handle it without the cost of a high-end trail bike.
It is also a sensible choice for newer riders who want room to progress. The wide 11-48T gear range makes steep New Zealand climbs manageable, the 100mm RockShox fork smooths out rough ground, and hydraulic disc brakes give confident control on descents. With seven frame sizes and Smart Wheel Size, there is a fit for most riders from younger teens through to adults.
