BSA Thread-In, Ceramic, XD-15 Corsa, 45° Angular Contact, Bearing Bottom Bracket for 68/73mm BSA framesets and SRAM DUB Cranksets
An original Enduro innovation, the TorqTite BB solution utilizes Angular Contact Stainless Steel bearings pressed into precision machined aluminum TorqTite cups that simply thread together in the BB shell for a simple, secure, creak-free installation in any non-threaded BB shell. All Enduro bottom brackets are manufactured to the highest standards at the Enduro Bearings production facility in California, USA.
This complete bottom bracket features Angular Contact, 440C stainless steel balls and races to provide long life and superior corrosion resistance in applications and environments that may be less than ideal. Though stainless steel has 20% less load capacity and is slightly softer than our standard 52100 chromium steel used in most of our bearings, stainless steel is an excellent alternative for use in wet conditions, if you wash you bike often, or where sweat can be a problem. Enduro Bearings also uses LLB type seals and CRC Marine Grease in these bearings to additionally water proof against the elements. We are so confident in the quality and performance of theses bearings, Enduro provides a three year anti-corrosion guarantee.
Finding the right bottom bracket solution for the ever-growing range of bicycles on the market is not always an easy task. At Enduro we currently offer over 50 different types of bottom brackets for various bottom bracket shell and crankset combinations in multiple price/performance levels. Enduro bearings offers threaded options for BSA, BSA 30, Italian and the robust T47 system. For press-fit bottom brackets we created the oft-copied, thread-together Torqtite bottom brackets as well as press-fit Delrin Cup options. We even offer flanged, double-row bearings to fit 30mm cranksets in BB86 shells!
XD-15 Corsa - XD15 is a material exclusive to Enduro bearings and is different than any material available to the market. The XD-15 steel is nitrogen infused and will not rust or corrode. The process to produce this steel involves re-melting a very high grade of martensitic stainless steel from the end of an electrode. This occurs in a highly-controlled re-melt chamber while introducing nitrogen gas, producing a homogenous steel, free from course carbides and giving ultimate fatigue resis- tance. Both 24MM ID and 30MM ID XD-15 Corsa bearings use a 45o angular contact design to handle both radial and axial loads. The 45o design allow us to use the largest size Grade 3 Silicon Nitride ceramic balls inside the XD-15 bearing races. When combined, the ceramic balls and XD-15 material will breakdown any contaminants that may get past the seal only to polish the ball raceway and improve performance over time. XD-15 is the pinnacle in bicycle bearing technology.BB30 to 24mm (Shimano) Crank
Stainless Steel 440C - Our 440C stainless steel bearings offer high corrosion resistance for adverse riding conditions. This high-grade stainless steel is perfect for rolling elements due to its high-carbon content and is harder than other stainless steel variants. We use 440C stainless for the bearing races and the balls. Both 24MM ID and 30MM ID bearings use a 15o angular contact design to handle both radial and axial loads. At Enduro bearings, we design our bearings to use the largest possible ball size to increase load capacity and the overall lifespan of the bearing. Finally, the bearings are sealed on both sides using our LLB seals.
- This model suits BSA 68/73mm frames to SRAM DUB crankset setups.
