Note: This Domane SLR 9 is a Trek Project One build, so what's pictured and specced below is the starting base, not a fixed package. The Trek 2027 Domane SLR 9 is Trek's flagship Shimano-equipped endurance road bike, built for riders who want the lightest Domane frame paired with the brand's best mechanical-feel electronic groupset. It shares the 900 Series OCLV Carbon frame and geometry of the rest of the SLR range but steps up to a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 2x12 drivetrain and Bontrager Aeolus RSL 51 OCLV Carbon wheels for a genuinely race-level build with endurance comfort. At 7.34kg it's noticeably lighter than the SLR 7, and with 40mm tyre clearance it still handles New Zealand's mixed surfaces without fuss.

Who Is the Domane SLR 9 For?
The Domane SLR 9 is aimed at riders who've outgrown Ultegra-level performance and want Shimano's best without going wireless. It's a genuine step up in shifting speed and drivetrain refinement, built for serious club riders, sportive regulars and anyone doing back-to-back big days who wants zero drivetrain excuses.
The Aeolus RSL 51 wheels and lighter overall build make it noticeably quicker on the climbs than the SLR 7, while the 40mm tyre clearance keeps it capable on backroads and gravel link sections. Built through Project One, it's a bike you can spec to exactly the fit and finish you want for the investment.
