DESCRIPTION
Note: This Speed Concept SLR 7 AXS is a Trek Project One build, so what's pictured and specced below is the starting base, not a fixed package. Crank length, bar/stem length, tyre choice, saddle and colour can all be tailored to your fit and riding. Get in touch and our team will help you build the exact bike that's right for you.
The Trek 2027 Speed Concept SLR 7 AXS brings SRAM's wireless AXS shifting to Trek's triathlon-specific Speed Concept platform, pairing the 800 Series OCLV Carbon aero frame with a SRAM Force AXS E1 groupset and integrated power meter. Bontrager Aeolus Pro 51 wheels and a fully integrated aero cockpit keep the whole package clean and fast. This is a triathlon and TT bike through and through, with aero bars and an aero frame built to be ridden solo against the clock rather than in a bunch, and it's a strong wireless option for New Zealand triathletes stepping up to a race-specific bike for Ironman Taupo, 70.3 racing or the local TT scene.
Key Features
- 800 Series OCLV Carbon frame with Kammtail Virtual Foil (KVF) tube shaping and T47 bottom bracket
- Integrated Bento box and downtube storage for nutrition and hydration without breaking the aero line
- Top Tube IsoSpeed decoupler for a smoother ride and a fresher run off the bike
- SRAM Force AXS E1 wireless 12-speed electronic shifting with an integrated power meter
- SRAM AXS Wireless Blips shifters mounted on the basebar and extensions
- Bontrager Aeolus Pro 51 carbon wheels, tubeless ready, front and rear thru-axle
- Fully integrated Speed Concept carbon fork and cockpit for a clean aero silhouette
- Bontrager Hilo Pro Carbon saddle built for a sustained aero position
Who Is the Speed Concept SLR 7 AXS For?
The Speed Concept SLR 7 AXS suits triathletes who want SRAM's wireless AXS shifting and a built-in power meter without paying for the RED-level build above it. Force AXS delivers most of the performance of RED at a more accessible price, which makes this a sensible pick for age-groupers training with power who prefer SRAM's shift feel over Shimano Di2.
In New Zealand this is a strong option for triathletes building toward Ironman Taupo, Challenge Wanaka or 70.3 racing, and for club riders competing in local time trials. It's built purely for triathlon and TT use, with an aero cockpit and frame optimised for a solo aero position rather than bunch riding, so it suits riders training specifically for racing against the clock rather than mixed-terrain or group riding.
