DESCRIPTION
Note: This Speed Concept SLR 9 is a Trek Project One build, so what's pictured and specced below is the starting base, not a fixed package. Crank length, bar/stem length, tyre choice, saddle and colour can all be tailored to your fit and riding. Get in touch and our team will help you build the exact bike that's right for you.
The Trek 2027 Speed Concept SLR 9 sits at the top of Trek's Shimano-equipped triathlon range, pairing the same ultra-light 800 Series OCLV Carbon aero frame with Shimano's flagship Dura-Ace Di2 groupset. Kammtail Virtual Foil tube shaping and a fully integrated cockpit keep the bike slippery through the air, while Bontrager Aeolus RSL 51 wheels add a genuine race-day upgrade over the mid-tier build. Like the rest of the Speed Concept range, this is a triathlon and TT-specific bike with aero bars and an aero frame, built to be ridden alone against the clock rather than in a bunch. For Kiwi triathletes chasing a PR at Ironman New Zealand or a national time trial title, the SLR 9 is built to deliver it.
Key Features
- 800 Series OCLV Carbon frame with Kammtail Virtual Foil (KVF) tube shaping and T47 bottom bracket
- Integrated Bento box and downtube storage for nutrition and hydration without breaking the aero line
- Top Tube IsoSpeed decoupler for a smoother ride and a fresher run off the bike
- Fully integrated Speed Concept carbon fork, cockpit and brake for a clean aero silhouette
- Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 12-speed electronic shifting, Trek's fastest tested Speed Concept build
- Shimano Dura-Ace hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors front and rear
- Bontrager Aeolus RSL 51 carbon wheels, tubeless ready, front and rear thru-axle
- Bontrager Hilo Pro Carbon saddle built for a sustained aero position
Who Is the Speed Concept SLR 9 For?
The Speed Concept SLR 9 is for triathletes and TT specialists who want Trek's best Shimano-equipped build without compromise. Dura-Ace Di2 and Aeolus RSL 51 wheels are a genuine step up from the SLR 7, and worth it for racers who are training seriously and want the fastest bike Trek has tested at Kona in the Shimano lineup.
For New Zealand triathletes with Ironman Taupo, Challenge Wanaka or a national time trial title in their sights, the SLR 9 is a bike built to hold that position for hours without fatigue, then get you off the bike and running well. As with every Speed Concept, it's built purely for triathlon and TT racing rather than bunch riding, since the aero cockpit and frame shapes are optimised for solo speed rather than sitting in a group.
