DESCRIPTION
Note: This Speed Concept SLR 9 AXS is a Trek Project One build, so what's pictured and specced below is the starting base, not a fixed package. Crank length, bar/stem length, tyre choice, saddle and colour can all be tailored to your fit and riding. Get in touch and our team will help you build the exact bike that's right for you.
The Trek 2027 Speed Concept SLR 9 AXS is the wireless flagship of Trek's triathlon range, built around the same 800 Series OCLV Carbon aero frame as the rest of the SLR line but finished with SRAM's top-tier RED AXS E1 groupset and an integrated power meter. Bontrager Aeolus RSL 51 wheels and a fully wireless drivetrain mean less cabling through the aero cockpit and one less thing to think about on race morning. This is a dedicated triathlon and time trial bike, with aero bars and aero tube shapes built for solo speed rather than bunch riding, and it gives serious Kiwi triathletes chasing a fast split at Ironman Taupo or Challenge Wanaka a genuine top-of-the-range option without needing to import a bike from overseas.

Who Is the Speed Concept SLR 9 AXS For?
The Speed Concept SLR 9 AXS is for triathletes who want Trek's fastest tested Speed Concept paired with SRAM's top-tier wireless groupset and a built-in power meter. It suits serious age-groupers and competitive triathletes who train with power and want one less cable running through an already crowded aero cockpit.
For New Zealand riders targeting Ironman Taupo, Challenge Wanaka or Ironman 70.3 racing, the SLR 9 AXS is a genuine top-of-the-range option that doesn't require importing a bike from overseas. Like every Speed Concept it's a dedicated triathlon and TT machine, built with aero bars and aero tube shapes for riding alone against the clock rather than in a bunch.
