New Seasons Gear

Bobby Ketchum | Tuesday, 10 November 2015

We've just received all of the new seasons helmets, shoes and accessories from Giant, Shimano and Giro. Let's take a look.

MTB Helmets

Giant Rail

First up is the new Giant Rail, an enduro/trail helmet with heaps of coverage, air vents and goggle straps in a lightweight package. We all tried some on and thought they were really comfortable. Sure to be a popular helmet, it looks good and ticks all the boxes for a modern enduro helmet. Available in blue, orange and black.

Liv Infinita

The Infinita is the women's specific version of the Rail above, available in black/purple.

Giro Montaro MIPS

Giro recently introduced their Montaro trail helmet, which features MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) standard. It's a very well-designed helmet with an integrated GoPro mount on top, aimed at the high-end helmet market at a more affordable price.

Giro Feature

The Feature has been around a few years, offering more rear coverage for aggressive trail riding. The 2016 Features have the same great design in new colours.

Giro Feather

The women's specific trail helmet, the Feather is based on the popular Feature helmet for guys and comes in new colours for 2016.

Shimano Shoes

We're now stocking Shimano's range of MTB and road shoes. The more popular models will be the M089 and M163 trail shoes, along with the M200 enduro/trail shoe. We also have a couple road shoes in stock, from entry-level to high-end.

Shimano makes great shoes, the prices are good and we think they'll sell really well.

Giant Gear

We've also got Giant's new range of parts and accessories, including pedals, pumps, saddle bags, multi-tools, saddles and bottle cages.

The pumps are pretty nice and definitely worth a look. With a pretty, sleek design, they feel really high quality for little money. We have a range of them, but their Control Mini Pro Pocket stands out and is as short as a bike grip.

Another cool piece of gear are their SidePull cages. This is something ladies will really appreciate as it's usually pretty hard to get bottles to fit into a small MTB frame.

Giant Road Helmets

Also new for 2016 are Giant's Rev road helmet. Super light with good ventilation and a well-designed, anti-microbial fitting system, The Rev is available for both men and women.
